Production Manager manages operations of production areas to ensure that volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are achieved. Follows overall production schedules to manage staffing and establish daily and shift production goals. Being a Production Manager monitors shift production metrics to identify and resolve issues and implement process improvements. Coordinates maintenance, turnarounds, and downtime for efficiency and speed. Additionally, Production Manager ensures that staff training processes, equipment, gear, and tool requirements are fulfilled to comply with health and safety regulations. Coaches teams in best practices to provide a safe and efficient work environment and resolve escalated issues and problems. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. This position is responsible of the efficient operations and growth of this manufacturing facility. The Production Manager will direct and achieve the plants objectives through proper training and supervision of the assigned associates. This role will be a manufacturing leader who can implement the strategies and programs to increase quality, productivity, and customer service.
· Direct activities of the manufacturing of production, engineering, and quality control.
· Manage fixed and variable spending and annual operating budgets.
· Manage the resources of the organization to achieve immediate and long-range objectives.
· Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies, including OSHA and State and Government.
· Formulate and implement long and short-range plans, policies, and programs.
· Build and maintain a strong commitment to quality and Continuous Improvement.
· Ensure all safety and environmental compliance from associates.
· Work closely with plant leadership on operating procedures, maintenance, shift coverage, etc.
Requirements:
· 5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
· 3 years’ of supervision experience.
· Bachelor Degree Engineering, Business or similar.
