Production Painter operates a spray painter or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or products. Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Being a Production Painter completes finishing with baking, polishing or other materials. Follows all required safety procedures. Additionally, Production Painter may paint items by hand as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervisor/manager. May require an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. The Production Painter possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Position: Painter
Basic Function: To participate in all activities related to the accomplishment of specific jobs. Must be able to perform all duties noted in Painter’s Job Description and attend all safety and general meetings. Will uphold the Fitzpatrick Promise and the Fitzpatrick Painting Mission Statement.
Organizational Relationships: Reports to Crew Leader, Field Supervisor. Helps to supervise Apprentices & Trainees.
Safety: All employees are required to conduct themselves in a safe manner at all times to insure the safety of their customers and themselves as set forth in the Fitzpatrick Painting, Inc. Safety Manual.
Scope of Responsibility: As delegated by Crew Leader or Field Supervisor. Efficiently carry out paint-related duties in a professional, workmanlike manner. To carry out tasks within the time frame prescribed by the Crew Leader and/or Field Supervisor. Help Painters and Crew Leader with various tasks throughout the day. Will uphold the Fitzpatrick Promise and execute the Fitzpatrick Painting Mission Statement.
Duties and Responsibilities: Arrive to the job or shop in time to start work prior to 8:00 am daily, unless otherwise specified by Crew Leader or Supervisor.
It’s your responsibility to keep busy throughout the day. When you need something else to do, ask your foreman or supervisor.
