Production Painter operates a spray painter or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or products. Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Being a Production Painter completes finishing with baking, polishing or other materials. Follows all required safety procedures. Additionally, Production Painter may paint items by hand as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervisor/manager. May require an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. The Production Painter possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Industrial Paint Technician
Responsible for the application of paint products in accordance with customer specifications and requirements
This position is for our First Shift which runs from 5:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Thursday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Application of paint products in accordance with customer specifications/requirements
· Follow and understand standard work, training guides, procedures, and acceptance criteria to meet
customer requirements
· Able to use industrial paint equipment and various hand tools
· Maintain and clean spray guns and related equipment
· Report inconsistencies and/or defects in material, product or equipment
· Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you collaborate with
customers, clients, co-workers, and management
· Help the company meet its Quality and Safety objectives
Other duties may also be assigned
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED
· 1 years of prior work experience in a related field
· Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, etc)
· Written and verbal communication, math, reading, and spelling skills
· High attention to detail
· Ability to work independently with little direction
Ability to wear respiratory mask
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, crouch, bend and reach above shoulders. The employee frequently is required to use hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls; and talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working in the typical conditions of a manufacturing environment including seasonal variation in temperatures. The employee must comply with PPE requirements including but not limited to respiratory mask, safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing and shields for required tasks and steel toed safety shoes.
