Production Painter operates a spray painter or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or products. Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Being a Production Painter completes finishing with baking, polishing or other materials. Follows all required safety procedures. Additionally, Production Painter may paint items by hand as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervisor/manager. May require an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. The Production Painter possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Major Tool & Machine is looking for an experienced painter. Our Painter will perform all related tasks to customer specifications. MTM has customers in the Aerospace, Defense, Power Generation, and Semiconductor Manufacturing. Parts are usually custom and very large.
Duties:
• Perform equipment checks on paint booth daily
• Record paint usages daily
• Perform paint related tasks on both steel and aluminum components
• Maintain paint equipment
• Accurate data entry
• Perform inspection verification
• Keep paint booth clean and organized
• Review customer drawings for paint requirements
