Production Painter operates a spray painter or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or products. Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Being a Production Painter completes finishing with baking, polishing or other materials. Follows all required safety procedures. Additionally, Production Painter may paint items by hand as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervisor/manager. May require an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. The Production Painter possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the painting industry, with a strong preference for those with 5 years plus experience. The Painter will lead and coordinate painting projects, ensuring that work is completed to the highest standards and that clients are satisfied with the final product.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate painting projects, including planning and execution of painting jobs
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, filling, and priming
- Apply paint or other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
- Ensure that work is completed to the highest standards and that clients are satisfied with the final product
- Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and preferences
- Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring that they are in good working order and properly maintained
- Ensure that health and safety regulations are adhered to on all painting projects
- Train and mentor junior painters on painting techniques and industry standards
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the painting industry, preferred 5 years plus
- Excellent knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team
- Ability to lead and mentor junior painters
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
