Production Painter operates a spray painter or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or products. Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Being a Production Painter completes finishing with baking, polishing or other materials. Follows all required safety procedures. Additionally, Production Painter may paint items by hand as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervisor/manager. May require an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. The Production Painter possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. The ideal candidate is a painting professional with experience in residential and/or commercial painting. Must be able to physically perform all the job duties which include standing for long periods, climbing stairs, climbing ladders and being comfortable with heights as some work is done on roofs and multiple story homes, candidate is also able to perform repetitive movements.
Responsibilities Include:
· Painting indoors and outdoors
· Prep work - sanding, taping, patching, wallpaper removal, etc.
· Covering workspaces - floors and furniture.
· Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
· Executes work requests in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
· Painting skill and knowledge of painting tools and equipment.
· Reliable transportation (a reliable vehicle is a must)
· Self-motivated if manager is not on site and highly organized
· Detail-oriented
