Production Painter jobs in Omaha, NE
Production Painter operates a spray painter or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or products. Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Being a Production Painter completes finishing with baking, polishing or other materials. Follows all required safety procedures. Additionally, Production Painter may paint items by hand as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervisor/manager. May require an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. The Production Painter possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Position Overview :
As a Painter, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by preparing, priming and painting fire truck bodies.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where precision and attention to detail are essential.
Responsibilities of the Painter :
- Prepare Fire Truck Bodies : Conduct minor body filling work to ensure a smooth surface for painting. Clean and prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding and masking.
- Paint Application : Apply primer and top coat to fire truck bodies with precision and consistency. Ensure uniform coverage and adherence to quality standards.
- Finish Work : Perform body buffing and touch-up work as needed to achieve a flawless finish. Inspect painted surfaces for imperfections and make necessary corrections.
- Maintain Clean and Safe Environment : Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Properly dispose of materials and waste in accordance with company guidelines.
- Experience in top coat application preferably in an automotive or manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in minor body filling work to achieve a smooth surface.
- Ability to perform body buffing and touch-up work with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
