Production Painter operates a spray painter or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or products. Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Being a Production Painter completes finishing with baking, polishing or other materials. Follows all required safety procedures. Additionally, Production Painter may paint items by hand as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervisor/manager. May require an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. The Production Painter possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Job Summary:
We are seeking Summer Seasonal Painters.
No on job experience required, must convey they are self-motivated and will show up on time. Must listen well to directions and complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion. Must be willing to learn and complete checkpoints to become a Skilled Painter. As a Painter, you will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces. Your attention to detail and ability to work independently will contribute to the overall quality of our projects.
Duties:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling cracks or holes
- Mix paint and other materials to achieve the desired color and consistency
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Ensure proper coverage and smooth finish on all surfaces
- Follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment when handling paints and chemicals
- Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects within specified timelines
Requirements:
- Ability to interpret project specifications and follow instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
