Production Painter operates a spray painter or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or products. Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Being a Production Painter completes finishing with baking, polishing or other materials. Follows all required safety procedures. Additionally, Production Painter may paint items by hand as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervisor/manager. May require an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. The Production Painter possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Caliber Collision has an immediate job opening for an Automotive Painter to perform all-purpose duties, which may include, but not limited to : Preparing color tint to match paint color, mixing paint colors and ensuring all formulations, preparations, top coating and curing meet original equipment manufacturer (OEM) recommended standards for proper application sequence, timing and materials usage, ensuring that all paint operations are complete, all masking is removed, and all prior paint-related disassembly have been reassembled prior to returning the vehicle to the body technician.
