Production Painter operates a spray painter or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or products. Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Being a Production Painter completes finishing with baking, polishing or other materials. Follows all required safety procedures. Additionally, Production Painter may paint items by hand as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervisor/manager. May require an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. The Production Painter possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. 2 SHIFT ( 1:30 pm to 10 pm) Candidate position is for a technician in the Manufacturing Facility in Goleta, California, involved in the painting of sub-assemblies for high reliability space, military, and commercial applications.
Operators will train under a senior operator, operator lead, or process engineer depending on the skill set requirements and sensitivity of the operation involved.
The successful candidate will work well with others and be able to effectively communicate in English with other operators, management/supervision, process engineers, and other support staff.
Rigorous attention to detail and the ability to read and follow work instructions in English is required.Operators will be expected to wear company provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and strictly follow all safety related processes, procedures, and protocols.
Most work will be performed during normal shift hours, but occasional overtime and weekend support may be required in order to meet customer/program needs.
