Production Painter operates a spray painter or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or products. Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Being a Production Painter completes finishing with baking, polishing or other materials. Follows all required safety procedures. Additionally, Production Painter may paint items by hand as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervisor/manager. May require an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. The Production Painter possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. **Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for painting interior and exterior surfaces, preparing surfaces for painting, and applying paint with various tools.
**Duties:**
- Prepare painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint
- Mix, match, and apply paints and other finishes to surfaces
- Use hand tools and power tools to scrape, sand, prime, or finish surfaces
- Apply paint or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers
- Calculate costs and negotiate prices
- Cover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience as a Painter
- Knowledge of various painting techniques
- Familiarity with drywall, stucco, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, masonry, and construction painting
- Ability to renovate areas with attention to detail
