Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Being a Production Painter completes finishing with baking, polishing or other materials. Follows all required safety procedures. Additionally, Production Painter may paint items by hand as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervisor/manager. May require an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. The Production Painter possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. JOB SUMMARY:
NORD Gear is seeking a full-Time Production Painter in our Corona manufacturing facility on first shift. Our Production Painter is responsible for painting gearbox assemblies and parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Must be able to produce a high-quality paint finish on products at high production levels. Responsible for quality of prime and finish paint. Responsible for daily paint booth operations including cleaning and preparation of units or parts for paint. Loading the parts on to the paint line and painting the units per work instructions. Performs daily preventive maintenance on spray equipment to assure proper performance. Responsible for cleaning spray equipment and work area to ensure a safe work environment.
