Production Scheduler develops, prepares, and maintains production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. Gathers data from internal teams to incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules. Being a Production Scheduler monitors daily production results and revises scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules and generate reporting. Additionally, Production Scheduler typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Scheduler work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. To be a Production Scheduler typically requires 7+ years of related experience. - Plans, schedules, coordinates, and monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle. Provides timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to create daily and weekly production schedules to achieve company goals and customer delivery dates. Minimum Qualifications:- Associate degree in management or related field
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
- Prior experience in production and/or material planning including scheduling & forecasting in a manufacturing multi-step environment
- Prior leadership experience in a cross-functional team
Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in management or related field
- Familiarity and software knowledge with ERP/MRP systems
- Prior experience in capacity planning
- Experience in electronics manufacturing preferred
- Experience with high volume manufacturing preferred
Essential Job Functions:- Coordinate & balance production schedules for all for manufacturing (long-term & pilot production)
- Review, create, issue production run documentation for current scheduled orders
- Develop effective scheduling process to achieve production objectives to develop solutions for improved production performance
- Collaborate with production team to plan & coordinate manufacturing schedules
- Monitor workflow, transactions & schedules to ensure on-time delivery
- Coordinate with logistics on safety stock finished goods levels & schedule replenishment
- Collaborate with internal constituents as needed
- Analyze & address scheduling conflicts in a timely fashion
- Coordinate with logistics on improvements that drive waste & inaccuracy out of the process
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Experience with ISO 9001
- Ability to create & understand reports in order to make production decisions
- Exceptional organizational, computer, & communication skills (verbal & written)
