We operate three state of the art manufacturing facilities and one of the few coating plants in the United States. Strategically located in Hatfield, MA, Martins Ferry, OH and Sebring, FL, our locations enable us to provide high-quality products and outstanding service throughout the Northeast, Mid Central, Mid Atlantic and Southern markets.

TCS is searching for a Master Production Scheduler in our Corporate office in Brunswick, Ohio. This position oversees the master scheduling tools and maintains data integrity of such tools. Works with sales and manufacturing groups to ensure timely and efficient inventory of products to support sales and financial goals.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains long term capacity plans and production schedules to ensure efficient delivery of inventory, service and cost objectives.
• Assists team in identifying staffing levels needed to complete production schedules.
• Maintains and measures forecast against actual production and identifies trends. Reviews production performance and updates planning related data to accurately reflect plant capabilities and available capacity within SAGE ERP.
• Generates weekly/monthly production and capacity plans and processes that supports the Company’s goals. Conducts weekly call with site Planners to review site production schedules and ensure adherence to master production plan.
• Leads review of monthly inventory levels for finished goods.
• Proactively identify and communicate key drivers and proposed solutions to service and inventory issues.
• Maintains, reviews, and updates all monthly inputs used to calculate safety stocks and inventory targets.
• Works cross-functionally with Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Order Management to ensure alignment throughout all departments and that company objectives are met.
• Makes recommendations to enhance business processes and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies. Sources systems to improve overall planning function.
• Utilize ERP to auto generate manufacturing work orders in SAGE.
• Exercises judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action and changes to production schedule.
• Notifies Sales of any schedule impacts to customers.

Qualification and Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Statistics or related field
• 5 years of relevant experience in production planning or scheduling required
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical skills and ability clearly communicate verbally and in written form
• Working knowledge of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning

Preferred Skills

• APICS or CPIM certification
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience with SAGE ERP preferred
• Demonstrated ability to support the development of internal culture
