Job Description : On-Call Support Staff Hourly
This position provides the on-call tasks for the after-business hours for weekdays and / or weekend days / times outlined as follows :
Weekday position : Mondays Tuesdays
5 : 00 p.m. 8 : 00 a.m.
Weekend position : Sunday
8 : 00 a.m. 8 : 00 a.m. Monday
Compensation for position :
For Hourly Staff :
2 HRs at your regular per on-call day, plus regular hourly rate for all hours worked over the base 2 hours.
Hourly staff will track calls and hours worked and will clock in at their regular pay rate for time spent.
Job requirements :
General knowledge of agency and program operations
Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to listen effectively
Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills as well as sound judgement and good decision-making skills
Basic Axis Care training to look up contact info for caregivers and clients
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
Vonage app on phone
Reports to : Lead Case Manager
Job responsibilities :
Work remotely through Vonage and Axis Care to manage urgent and emergency situations with caregivers and clients of Amada Senior Care during their on-call rotation
Answer all phone calls received during the assigned on-call rotation on behalf of the agency and follow up according to agency policies and procedures
Use Vonage and AxisCare for communications with caregivers and clients
Find a caregiver for a shift call off, as needed.
Find a caregiver for any new shift clients may request to have scheduled.
In the event a caregiver cannot be found for a shift the on-call associate must contact the Administrator On-Call to update them on the situation.
In case of client emergency follow agency emergency protocol and support caregiver through the emergency
Complete Axis Care call logs.
Enter all non-urgent business on the on-call shift log and let caregiver / client know follow up will happen on next business day
As best practice weekend on call associate should complete all scheduling needs and follow up for all shifts through end of the day on the following Tuesday.
