Being a Production Scheduler monitors daily production results and revises scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules and generate reporting. The Production Scheduler plans the work of the production department, determining production requirements, and releasing orders. This position coordinates with purchasing/material planning to have raw materials available for production. Provides analysis of production requirements using a combination of Access, PIMS,
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Plan production schedule for the manufacturing floor taking into consideration available capacity, raw material inventory levels, customer order requirements and best production order sequence
· Review of master production schedules to determine possible shortages, evaluation of potential improvements in economic order quantities to gain total supply chain improvements, and ensuring material availability
· Track production adherence to Plan in real time and utilize analytical capabilities to find appropriate solutions (increasing production run rates, finding capacity to regain lost production, etc.) to mitigate production issues.
· Monitor min/max levels to insure acceptable lead times for standard products
· Coordinate with purchasing, production, and manufacturing personnel to ensure appropriate scheduling, procurement, and movement of materials
· Escalates any capacity constraints to General Manager to decide on appropriate action.
· Assists in maintaining planning data. .
· Collaborates with planning to establish safety stock levels, determine optimal production run sizes and change-over sequences, and adheres to defined lead times for products supplied from responsible locations.

· Ability to implement schedule management process consistent with customer requirements and internal processes and best practices
· Strong computer skills, high level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Knowledge of MS Project or similar scheduling engine desired
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal are necessary to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and co-workers
· Knowledge of production scheduling techniques is preferred;
