Production Scheduler develops, prepares, and maintains production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. Gathers data from internal teams to incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules. Being a Production Scheduler monitors daily production results and revises scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules and generate reporting. Additionally, Production Scheduler typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Scheduler work is highly independent. This position requires a highly motivated, well organized, and experienced individual. This position will require extensive fast tracked technical training to assist large accounts of GPS/Telematics/Equipment installations.
Must be available to work remote from 8am-5pm CST
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and maintains project schedules identifying relationships, logic, milestones, and constraints for deployment projects of various types
Independently interprets and reads detailed process flows and develops a clear understanding of work scope
Reviews contractor’s schedule submissions and verifies that all work scope is identified properly and logically sequenced correctly; provides detailed schedule review comments
Reviews contractor schedule submittals for conformance with contract; reviews critical path, resource loading of man-hours, schedule content.
Understand capacity and relevant constraints to ensure appropriate outsourced suppliers and resources are available on a timely basis to meet the production schedule. Identify and work with management to resolve bottlenecks, supply shortages, work force issues, capacity constraints and other issues that inhibit execution of the production schedule
Daily monitoring of production schedule to ensure timely and accurate completion of orders.
Effectively communicates with the contractor regarding all schedule/progress related matters and concerns in ongoing status meetings and all other schedule related meetings
Provide regular updates on schedule progress
Prepares reports as needed and directed by management
Ability to follow detailed instructions through to completion on unsupervised tasks
Ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality of work materials as appropriate
Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School or GED
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, where organizational skills are essential in handling multiple tasks and interruptions while maintaining a high level of accuracy
Demonstrated customer service experience
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google programs. Ability to create and update Pivot Tables and Charts.
Experience with managing multiple project schedules at once while meeting time sensitive deadlines
Experience collaborating and working across teams
Detail Oriented
Self-starter able to quickly adapt to new business environments, strong work ethic, and motivated to succeed and grow
The ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing
