Production Scheduler develops, prepares, and maintains production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. Gathers data from internal teams to incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules. Being a Production Scheduler monitors daily production results and revises scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules and generate reporting. Additionally, Production Scheduler typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Scheduler work is highly independent. Job Summary:
Mercury Electronics has a challenging opportunity available for a talented, enthusiastic, and motivated Production Scheduler. We are seeking an outgoing individual, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in our fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position will be working with many facets of our production process from coordinating schedules with the production team leaders, inspection, and shipping as well as our sales staff to be able to provide proactive updates to our customers.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
-Review and maintain production status of customer orders and material for those orders
-Collaborate with production team leaders, materials group, and purchasing to determine the progress of work and completion dates then provide sales with dates of completion.
-Expedite customer orders and materials for those orders.
-Maintain customer shipping schedules for production, inspections, and shipping.
-Maintain web-based status of customer orders
-Maintain records of order re-schedules from customers
-Creating spreadsheets, letters, forms, and other documents
-Completing special assignments and projects
Qualifications include but not limited to:
-One to two years of related experience and/or training in manufacturing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Must have the ability to communicate appropriately with different levels of employees, from production employees to the President.
-Excellent customer service skills
-Ability to work as part of a team
-Ability to communicate technical data clearly (both in writing and verbally)
-Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize work.
Required skills:
-Basic math skills and ability to read tape measure and rulers accurately
-General knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures such as managing files and records, use of desktop computers, and common office equipment.
-Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
The following experience/knowledge is not required but preferred:
-Experience working for contract manufacturing companies
-Ability to read and fully understand many different forms of documentation including assembly drawings, schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, job orders, and other forms of documentation.
-Ability to understand electrical drawings and schematics and apply to electrical assembly details
