Production Scheduler Manager jobs in Allentown, PA

Production Scheduler Manager manages the development, preparation, and maintenance of production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. Collaborates with internal teams to assess and incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules. Being a Production Scheduler Manager monitors production progress and develops revised scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules. Additionally, Production Scheduler Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Production Scheduler Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Production Scheduler Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Essential Functions Statement(s)

    • Print and batch paperwork according to department needs, arrange paperwork to increase productivity of personnel.
    • Act as liaison between shops and customer service to make changes to orders, get answers on work orders and print / reprint work orders as necessary
    • Examine documents and monitor work processes, in order to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
    • Review documents such as production schedules and staffing tables to determine personnel and material priorities.
    • Confer with department supervisors and other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
    • Monitor the production levels throughout the day to optimize production levels.
    • Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with production manager.
    • Confer with purchasing to coordinate shipping activities to eliminate delays in production needs.
    • Record production quality checks, monitor daily machine checks, report results to production manager.
    • Work with purchasing for materials and supplies necessary to meet production demand
    • Distribute production schedules and work orders to departments.
    • Cycle count inventory using rf scanners
    • Scan completed production and move carts to shipping area
    • Scan documents into computer system that contain shop notes and sign offs for energy star purposes
    • Other duties as assigned.

    SKILLS & ABILITIES

    Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
    Experience: One to two years related experience


    Computer Skills

    Intermediate level with personal computers a must

    E-mail, MSword and excel preferred


    Other Requirements

    Must be able to multitask, prioritize and work in a fast paced environment and cope with frequent changing priorities
