Production Scheduler Manager manages the development, preparation, and maintenance of production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. Collaborates with internal teams to assess and incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules. Being a Production Scheduler Manager monitors production progress and develops revised scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules. Additionally, Production Scheduler Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Production Scheduler Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Production Scheduler Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Under the guidance of the V.P. Operations and Site Lead, the Production Manager fully and effectively contributes in the development and execution of the organization’s production growth strategy and plan, including developing an aggressive execution plan and collaborating in the deployment and coordination of NTi resources to execute and deliver cost and schedule targets.


    In a typical day, your expertise:

    • Develops and implements plans for production, including staffing schedules and levels, procedures, systems and controls to ensure long term goals are met
    • Liaises, communicates and supports cross-functionally to proactively formulate and achieve organizational objectives
    • Organizes workflow to meet specifications and deadlines, monitors production to proactively identifies and resolves issues, ensuring output meets quality and on-time delivery standards
    • Supervises, assists to develop and continually evaluates performance and offers feedback to employees in area of responsibility. Supports the Plattsburgh people-centered management philosophy to promote continuous learning, development, and succession strategies
    • Monitors and accommodates for appropriate allocation of resources, including shop floor supplies, machine time, labor hours, etc.
    • Supports executional strategy of new markets and products for the business unit to ensure long-term sustainable growth; proposes and implements operating systems, procedures and controls to maximize efficiency of production and protect company assets
    • Provides effective leadership and guidance to the production function, leading initiatives to address the team’s performance; activity planning; recruitment, retention and succession planning; employee engagement and satisfaction; etc.
    • Monitors and forecasts department activities for productivity and expense controls; proposes and manages the production budget, creating business cases as necessary for the procurement of additional tools and resources, maintenance work, purchasing of equipment, etc.
    • Proactively leads continuous improvement efforts to improve profitability, competitiveness, reliability, quality, safety, etc. in areas of responsibility
    • Adheres to and promotes applicable Policies, Procedures, Safety Rules & Regulations and Security Guidelines
    • Other duties and responsibilities as required for the successful operation of business


    This position will have access to technology and/or software source code that is subject to U.S. export controls. U.S. person as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))


    We're thrilled to find candidates with:

    • Minimum 5 years' experience in Manufacturing sector, preferably in a startup environment
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Management; MBA preferred
    • Progressive, demonstrated experience in Leadership roles
    • Skills in aerospace sector or additive manufacturing preferable
    • Proven experience in building and developing an effective talent base, strong, collaborative business teams
    • Knowledge of Lean and Continuous Improvement fundamentals of business; Green belt or higher Lean/6 Sigma certification preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, staff, control and direct projects using tools and techniques associated with risk, and schedule management
    • Proficiency in managing, tracking, and reporting technical and cost performance metrics
    • Fluent mastery of the English language

    Physical Requirements:


    • The ability to sit, stand, walk intermittently for 12 or more hours daily
    • The ability to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to feel objects, tools and controls, to operate a computer and telephone keypad
    • Good vision (20/40) with or without corrective devices and the ability to distinguish colors
    • The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate
