Production Scheduler Manager manages the development, preparation, and maintenance of production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. Collaborates with internal teams to assess and incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules. Being a Production Scheduler Manager monitors production progress and develops revised scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules. Additionally, Production Scheduler Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Production Scheduler Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA) in engineering, management, logistics, industrial tech, or a related field from four-year college or university; and 2 to 3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyzes and interpret such items as general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or simple governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, or procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions where a certain degree of tact and discretion is needed. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to such groups as top management and boards of directors.
QUANTITATIVE SKILLS
Very analytical, ability to comprehend the most complex financial principles. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
Ability to use a computer to create highly customized spreadsheets and charts, run reports, and interpret data. Ability to analyze balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and the most detailed types of financial documents, and apply that information to make long-term, strategic decisions.
