Production Scheduler Manager manages the development, preparation, and maintenance of production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. Collaborates with internal teams to assess and incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules. Being a Production Scheduler Manager monitors production progress and develops revised scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules. Additionally, Production Scheduler Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Production Scheduler Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Core responsibilities:
Scheduling the day, plan production operations while establishing priorities, consume coil, data entry / order entry into the oracle system, enter scrap into the system.
Requires minimum of HS Diploma or GED.
Two to three years prior experience in similar scheduling role. Preferably in metals / manufacturing industry but other industry experience acceptable.
Excel skills are a must - Expert level is preferred.
