Production Scheduler Manager manages the development, preparation, and maintenance of production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. Collaborates with internal teams to assess and incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules. Being a Production Scheduler Manager monitors production progress and develops revised scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules. Additionally, Production Scheduler Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Production Scheduler Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     JOB SUMMARY:
    The Production Scheduler plans and establishes production schedules to meet customer demands. They develop production schedules in accordance with sales forecasts, plant and employee capacity, and new business opportunities. The Production Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and developing production schedules on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to meet goals. They take stock of inventory levels and facilitate providing necessary materials for completion of production schedules.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide Operations with Daily Schedule and coordinate with Logistics teams to adjust orders based on known information through the course of the production shift
    • Monitor Customer Service communications (phone, email) to provide timely feedback and information to the relevant parties
    • Provide real time information to Sales and Supply Chain Teams related to customer impacting issues and situations and provide Operations and Supply
    • Team direction when necessary
    • Provide daily Customer Shortage reporting and root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement of our Customer Experience
    • Provide daily Schedule Attainment reporting and root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement of our Scheduling and Operations areas
    • Maintains databases and reports related to production, sales and supply chain data needs.
    • Creates finished product schedules for all facilities and communicates to production team
    • Creates WIP schedules for all facilities
    • Evaluates current inventory and adjusts to schedule to meet order fill goals and objectives
    • Makes decisions on schedules based on forecast accuracy, order history, shelf life, customer requirements, etc.
    • Continually works to update and improve production planning tools
    • Builds weekly production plan and break into efficient daily schedules
    • Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement in Sales and Supply Chain areas.
    • Lead cross functional teams in implementation of Supply Chain improvement projects.
    • Conducts analyses and generates presentations and reports supporting Sales and Supply Chain activities.
    • Coordinate the Outsourced Products process including creation of PO’s, shipments, pick-ups and receipts of products
    • Coordinate 3PL/off site storage of products including shipments, pick-ups and receipts.
    • Manage Relationship with Co-Pack Vendors
    • Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement in Sales and Supply Chain areas.
    • Learn all aspects of production scheduling function and act as a back up in this area
    • Learn all aspects of the Customer Service function and perform as a back up in this area


    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
    :

    • Bachelor’s degree, Supply Chain Management preferred or equivalent work experience
    • One to Three years related work experience
    • Strong knowledge of forecasting, and retail inventory management
    • An ambitious and experienced leader that utilizes cross-functional collaboration to achieve results. Capable of influencing at multiple organization levels – up and down
    • Experience with the day-to-day business process in supply chain principles
    • Ability to handle competing priorities and tasks, ambiguity and remain organized to meet deadlines


    LANGUAGE SKILLS
    :

    Proficient in English, both written and Verbal, ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.

    COMPUTER SKILLS:

    • Excellent quantitative analysis skills. Expertise in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access
    • Software implementation and upgrade experience
    • ERP experience Preferred; Microsoft Nav experience a plus
