Production Scheduler Manager manages the development, preparation, and maintenance of production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. Collaborates with internal teams to assess and incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules. Being a Production Scheduler Manager monitors production progress and develops revised scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules. Additionally, Production Scheduler Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Production Scheduler Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Production Scheduler Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Hill & Valley Bakery, a division of J&J Snack Foods has an opening for a Production Manager to join their dynamic team. This position oversees the bakery production process including mixing, baking and packing while creating a culture and process that identifies and maintains continuous improvement of yield, efficiency, quality, cleanliness, and safety.

    Responsibilities:

    • Implement and enforce policy, procedures, and culture consistent with the Plant Manager’s direction that control and improve:

Develop specific training needs inside the organization and effective plans to bring awareness and education.
    • Develop and manage subordinates including Production Supervisors and Leads to maintain production and staffing needs.
    • Interact with Quality Manager and customer auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customer specifications.
    • Adhere to all environmental, health and safety requirements and procedures.
    • Responsible for food safety and quality.
    • Other tasks as assigned.

    Position Requirements:

    • A bachelor’s degree in business or related field or at least seven years of prior experience in managing large departments for consumer product manufacturer.
    • Five years or more experience managing supervisors on more than one shift.
    • Demonstrated experience working with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors.
    • Experience in quality system audits
