Production Scheduler Manager manages the development, preparation, and maintenance of production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. Collaborates with internal teams to assess and incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules. Being a Production Scheduler Manager monitors production progress and develops revised scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules. Additionally, Production Scheduler Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Production Scheduler Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Production Scheduler Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Responsibilities

    • Develop, adjust, and maintain a daily production schedule for assigned lines and items that supports sales plans and service rates.
    • Schedule lines to balance optimization of labor efficiency and target service levels.
    • Establish inventory levels that support sales forecasts, sales variability, and production constraints.
    • Play a key role in the evaluation of capacity constraints by reviewing forecast demand, as well as anticipating upcoming changes. Involve all relevant parties in a timely manner to address capacity issues and constraints.
    • Work with other planning and scheduling team members to allocate available inventory and plan production to address order shortages.
    • Identify material shortages to meet near-term (three weeks) production schedule and work closely with Purchasing to expedite materials. Adjust schedule as needed.
    • Assist in creating and maintaining BOMs and routings as needed.
    • Coordinate and manage material discrepancies and shortages with the warehouse and production.
    • Complete and manage deviation requests for substitute materials needed to meet schedule.
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

    Qualifications

    • 4 years of relevant manufacturing and production planning experience with working knowledge of MRP.
    • Proficient with Basic Computer Software- Microsoft Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
    • Effective communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
    • Ability to work with all levels of management in multi-functional departments.
    • Ability to perform duties with minimal direction.
    • Ability to be flexible and shift priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environment.
    • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
    • Proven conflict resolution skills; able to think through complex issues and arrive at well-thought-out conclusions.
