Production Scheduler Supervisor supervises the development, preparation, and maintenance of production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. Coordinates with internal teams to assess and incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules. Being a Production Scheduler Supervisor monitors daily production results and develops revised scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules and generate reporting. Additionally, Production Scheduler Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Scheduler Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for the direct management and supervision of field operations personnel. The Production Supervisor will manage and coordinate the flow of work performed by employees and adherence to safety guidelines and company policies and procedures. The Production Supervisor plays a key role in being the face and driving force within the operation at a local level. Strong leadership and decision-making skills are necessary to meet goals established for this position.
Essential Duties:
Supervise the daily activities of employees, in the oil & gas mining process to meet the safety and productivity needs of the company.
Perform administrative duties associated with supervision, such as, scheduling, evaluating individual performance, mentoring, coaching, disciplining, and assisting individuals with personal or performance problems.
Coordinate work with other departments, stakeholders, and contractors, to minimize downtown and meet operations and development plans in the most cost effective and productive manner.
Maintain, develop, and annually update all applicable operations and maintenance procedures.
Maintain interaction with management, stakeholders, and regulators.
Perform onsite management of capital projects and invoice review and assist in writing work orders and perform approval responsibilities as it pertains to invoices and work orders.
Manage all well and production facility operation, repair, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting.
Maintain lease locations and roads.
Report verbally and written production specifics, water disposal injection information, field downtime, and operations specifics.
Implement and execute short-term operational and project plans and schedules and consistently achieve targeted results.
Gather, analyze and evaluate facts necessary to design and implement quality process changes and lead employees in process improvement initiatives.
Evaluate employee performance and give effective crew feedback to increase employee productivity.
Monitor work to ensure that environmental standards are met.
Maintain an open dialogue and two-way communication throughout the organization.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Necessary Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor’s in a related discipline.
Demonstrated knowledge of and at least 10 years’ experience in oil & gas production operations.
Demonstrated knowledge and a minimum of one year experience in Helium production operations leadership and managing a staff of up to 5 or more operators effectively. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate success in management and supervisory training.
A minimum of three years’ experience as a Lease Operator.
Proven written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively supervise, direct crews in an effective manner, conduct employee evaluations, discipline, and provide routine feedback to increase productivity.
Valid State Driver’s License and maintain insurable driving record.
Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and repairing industry components including but not limited to level controllers, displacement valves, switches, controls, pumps, vessels, and vent systems.
Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and repairing artificial lift systems including but not limited to plunger lift, flowback, ESP, and Rod Pumps in systems with up to 3,500 psi working pressures.
Proven knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment practices and procedures in the oil and gas industry and industry standards.
Demonstrated expertise in gathering system and facility construction.
Demonstrated proficiency and/or documented training with computerized maintenance and monitoring systems including production control, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Demonstrated expertise of well production systems, surface production facilities and equipment, downhole production operations, workover operations, pipeline gathering systems, electrical power distribution systems, road and location maintenance requirements, regulatory requirements, valves, pressure relief systems, pressurized vessels, fluid measurement, gas measurement, equipment automation, and communications equipment operation.
Applicant must provide 2 written letters of recommendations from his or her past two supervisors, who can verify their recommendation and attest to applicant’s critical thinking and conflict management skills, ability to build positive relationships, strong presentation and customer service skills, and ability to organize priorities to reach goals and deliverables, and manage competing demands, accept criticism and constructive feedback, while being extremely adaptable and flexible.
