Production Scheduler Supervisor supervises the development, preparation, and maintenance of production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. Coordinates with internal teams to assess and incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules. Being a Production Scheduler Supervisor monitors daily production results and develops revised scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules and generate reporting. Additionally, Production Scheduler Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Scheduler Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Production Scheduler Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. Located in our Red Bay plant you will be Production Supervisor:Key responsibilities (to name a few):
- Responsible for providing daily direction and training to shop floor employees who perform work in production, assembly and other shop floor areas ensuring efficient operations and processes. Communicating with staff and employees to drive alignment and consistency to goals and company objectives.
- Manages performance, productivity, attendance, quality and housekeeping expectations and drives personal accountability. Addresses performance problems, recognition and provides coaching where appropriate. Ensures policies and work practices are administered in a fair and consistent fashion.
- Ensures a safety driven culture. Ensures expectations are clearly articulated, safe work practices are adhered to and holds employees accountable for safety infractions. Investigates safety related issues or violations.
- Responsible for reporting and tracking of shift metrics.
- Performs other tasks or duties as assigned.
- Ensures a continuous focus is placed on process improvement and reduction of waste. Empowers and encourages employees to continually evaluate and improve daily processes.
ABOUT YOUTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.- 3 years manufacturing leadership experience in progressive roles
- 3 years' experience in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing
- 2 years' experience in project leadership
- High School education or equivalent
- 3 years manufacturing leadership experience
- Requires a working knowledge of equipment and production processes.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, lead and empower people
- Demonstrated ability to drive accountability, resolve conflict and manage performance expectations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt and flex styles in a quickly changing team environment.
- Strong team player; proactively able to step in to support other team members as needed.
- Must have strong organizational and planning skills. Be able to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks while meeting expected timelines.
- Takes action, anticipates the needs of internal and external customers and is self-directed in achieving results.
- Uses creativity to seek quality solutions and process improvements while keeping in mind the needs of the business.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- General computer skills to include proficiency in the Microsoft suite of products (i.e. Excel and Word)
- Must be able to work any shift
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
PAY & BENEFITS- Full-Time
