Production Scheduler Supervisor supervises the development, preparation, and maintenance of production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. Coordinates with internal teams to assess and incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules. Being a Production Scheduler Supervisor monitors daily production results and develops revised scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules and generate reporting. Additionally, Production Scheduler Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Scheduler Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions.   • Come join our growing team in Laredo, TX! Due to expansion, we are currently seeking a Production Supervisor. In our refrigerated facility that operates 24/7, you will supervise all day-to-day activities for a specified production line (Tomatoes, Peppers, Cucumbers). Ensure all production orders are completed, according to customer specifications, time, packs and cost. Maintain strict compliance to all Health and Food Safety guidelines, grade-out procedures, production standards, and governmental regulations.

    Full-time opening: Sun- Wed 3:00Pm-1:30Am

    Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • As the customer specification expert for the designated area, this position will ensure all specifications are met, and will provide analysis and recommendations to the Production Manager to improve efficiencies.
    • Oversee all activities within the specified Production area, including but not limited to employee training and coaching, measuring employee performance and recommending policies and procedures for the production area.
    • Monitor status of daily order requirements and ensure order completion to meet Ready Time within customer specifications for their lines.
    • Enforce proper packing procedures to meet product specs, costs and organization.
    • Verify accurate grade-out and recording procedures per line.
    • Maintain respective area to meet Health and Food Safety policies.
    • Oversee all skid stacking quality, including the proper use of pallet ties per area.
    • Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the production lines and team.
    • Monitor attendance throughout the day and take necessary steps to ensure lines are fully staffed by re-organizing lines or adjusting schedules.
    • In partnership with Human Resources, issue corrective action based on performance or attendance.
    • Demonstrate strong leadership skills that will motivate and encourage teamwork.
    • Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information, as well as other Company data, including personal information.
    • Responsible for maintaining the spirit of teamwork and productivity among fellow maintenance personnel in accordance with Mastronardi Produce.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field is highly desired. Will consider equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
    • A minimum of 2 years’ work experience in a production environment; produce industry preferred.
    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a lead or supervisory role.
    • Must have proven track record of managing large groups of employees.
    • Proficiency in use of English language with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally, present information and direction, and field questions from managers, employees and external contacts.
    • Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint; prior experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), i.e. NAV JDA, etc.
    • Willingness to work independently, with minimal supervision and take ownership of job.
    • A high degree of professionalism and personal integrity.
    • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills. Need to be creative, adaptable and able to accurately handle out-of-the-ordinary issues with a sense of urgency.
    • Strong knowledge of local, state and federal laws and requirements to maintain compliance to all relevant statues and guiding principles (FDA, USDA, MIOSHA, OSHA, CFIA).
    • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended workdays on different shifts.
    • Bilingual in Spanish is desired.

    Working Conditions:

    • Environment includes an expansive refrigerated warehouse, where the temperature averages a constant 55 degrees (except office areas). The background noise approaches 70 dcbs.
    • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. with or without accommodation
    • Position requires sitting, standing, walking and bending, squatting, and crawling on a regular basis
