Production Scheduler Supervisor supervises the development, preparation, and maintenance of production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. Coordinates with internal teams to assess and incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules. Being a Production Scheduler Supervisor monitors daily production results and develops revised scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules and generate reporting. Additionally, Production Scheduler Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Scheduler Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Production Scheduler Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.     About the Opportunity

    As the Production Scheduler at Monin, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the flow of products through the complete production cycle. An added responsibility in this role is ensuring that our production operations are maximized for efficiency without compromising on quality. The ideal candidate for this position will be a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.


    What You’ll Do

    • Conducting thorough data analysis to make informed decisions that support raw material supply and finished goods demand. This includes analyzing data on sales trends, market forecasts, and supply chain disruptions.
    • Creating a detailed and comprehensive production schedule that prioritizes job orders to optimize production while ensuring efficient use of resources.
    • Maintaining the production schedule along with other reports as required, such as inventory reports, quality control reports, and production efficiency reports. This helps in monitoring production progress, identifying bottlenecks, and taking corrective actions where necessary.
    • Overseeing the accuracy of monthly raw ingredient cycle counting and reporting. This includes conducting regular audits to ensure accurate inventory counts and reconciling any discrepancies found.
    • Interacting with production staff daily to resolve issues related to manufacturing efficiencies or to provide additional information as requested by Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Accounting. This helps in ensuring seamless communication and collaboration among different departments.
    • Generating purchase orders as needed, which involves identifying and selecting the right vendors, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery.
    • Creating a transfer plan for satellite warehouses to ensure timely and efficient movement of goods between different locations. This includes identifying the right transportation mode, estimating delivery time, and tracking the movement of goods.
    • Adapting to accommodate last-minute modifications.

    Other Qualifications & Considerations

     

    • Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of one year of experience in demand planning.
    • A solid understanding of fundamental supply chain concepts.
    • Exceptional ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organization.
    • Prior exposure to ERP systems is advantageous, with a preference for experience in MS Navision.
    • Experience with demand planning software (e.g., Logility, Demand Solutions, SAP, Blue Yonder, Anaplan, Demantra, or JDA).
    • Previous involvement in Sales & Marketing analysis.
    • Willingness to make last-minute changes.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
    • Experience in manufacturing or production planning/scheduling.
    • A general understanding of inventory management and warehousing principles.
