Production Scheduler Supervisor jobs in Rock Hill, SC

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers.
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to the production team.
• Motivate team members to achieve production goals and maintain high levels of productivity.
• Resolve conflicts and address any issues that arise among team members.
• Plan and organize production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
• Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and make adjustments as needed.
•  Coordinate with other departments such as procurement, maintenance, and quality department to ensure smooth operations.

• Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications.
•  Implement and enforce quality control procedures.
•  Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on products and production processes.
•  Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
•  Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety guidelines and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure that all safety equipment is in place and functional.
•  Train employees on safe work practices and emergency procedures.
•  Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
•  Implement lean manufacturing principles and other best practices to optimize efficiency.
• Collect and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement improvement initiatives.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure availability of materials.
• Minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
•  Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
•  Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
•  Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
•  Familiarity with quality control standards and practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in using production management software and MS Office applications.

Physical Requirements 

• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the production floor for extended periods.
•  Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
•  Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures and noise levels.
