Production Scheduler Supervisor supervises the development, preparation, and maintenance of production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. Coordinates with internal teams to assess and incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules. Being a Production Scheduler Supervisor monitors daily production results and develops revised scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules and generate reporting. Additionally, Production Scheduler Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Scheduler Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Production Scheduler Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. The Opportunity:
The Production Scheduler reports directly to the Plant Manager and provides information and prioritization to the schedule, identifies, escalates, and works cross functionally to resolve issues that prevent delivery metrics from being achieved.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, production, finance and shipping to prevent decreases in quality, delivery and efficiency rates in the plant.
- Communicate daily with floor supervisors and production management on any concerns that have an effect on required delivery dates.
- Monitor and track daily delivery and productivity and provide daily reports to Supervisors or Production Manager.
- Works in conjunction with Cross Functional teams to develop standard operating procedures and implement improvement continuous improvement project and processes.
- Conducts daily productions scheduling meetings.
- Scheduling and maintaining jobs in operationally and within company’s ERP system.
- Attend daily meetings with various cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in business or equivalent work experience.
Experience: Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Skilled knowledge assembly prints, work orders and Completed Equipment Checklist (CEC).
- Must demonstrate organization skills and present self in a professional manner while interacting with co-workers,
- Must demonstrate computer skills as required.
- Must be able to handle multiple, rapidly changing, and conflicting priorities.
- Must be results focused and orientated toward accomplishment of team and organizational goals.
- Must possess the ability to work with minimal supervision while remaining productive at all time.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and possess team-based problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours to include overtime and weekends when needed.
