US Farathane is seeking a Shift Supervisor.
US Farathane has been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years. We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE’s and TPO’s as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies.
Summary:
Shift Supervisor manages all equipment, materials and human resources ensuring optimum performance. Leads entire shift’s staff in the application of all procedures and work instructions ensuring maximum output in the categories of Safety, Quality, Production, Housekeeping and Conduct.
Essential Functions:
- Supervision of all manufacturing personnel; and all non-manufacturing personnel when their direct report is out of the building.
- Facilitator of all daily shift operations.
- Responsible for all personnel safety, conduct and discipline.
- Responsible to ensure all internal and OSHA required safety procedures are followed.
- Responsible to ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures. (i.e., TS–16949, Quality Manual, etc.).
- Supervision of all manufacturing personnel; and all non-manufacturing personnel when their direct report is out of the building.
- Facilitator of all daily shift operations.
- Responsible for all personnel safety, conduct and discipline.
- Responsible to ensure all internal and OSHA required safety procedures are followed.
- Responsible to ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures. (i.e., TS–16949, Quality Manual, etc.).
- Enforcement of Quality standards.
- Enforcement of Material handling standards.
- Enforcement of Housekeeping standards.
- Ensure proper and timely application of all process improvements.
- Record and enter labor, scrap, and finished parts to maintain inventory.
- Directly supervises 30 employees in the manufacturing department.
- Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- Related Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; two to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous automotive operations management experience preferred.
- High energy and experience in inspiring and motivating cross-functional teams.
