Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for the planning, coordination, and control of manufacturing processes, ensuring production is efficient and quality expectations are met.
The individual is responsible for delivering results through the optimal use of all resources including people, manufacturing process, materials management, and commercial engagement within the business to promote revenue growth and cost improvement efforts.
Responsibilities
- Organize, monitor, and prioritize tasks to meet production goals
- Monitor product standards and implement quality-control programs
- Create and implement production and cost efficiency programs/processes to optimize performance and ensure production is cost effective
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure deadlines are met and customer expectations are met/exceeded
- Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines within the facility
- Supervise, direct, and motivate production team to achieve a satisfactory workflow
- Identify areas for improvement and lead training opportunities for the production team
- Coach and develop team members for professional improvement
- Hold oneself and the team accountable to high standards of conduct and performance
- Consult with engineering relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products
- Ensure the flow of raw materials and other resources
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new hires
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in high volume manufacturing environment, preferably in adhesive roll/die coating, laminating, and die cutting, plus 2 years of experience in a supervisory role
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) – strongly preferred
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools
- Advanced knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment
- Analytical, solutions focused with excellent problem-solving skills
- Self-starter, team focused, strong work ethic, and results driven
- Detail and quality focused
- IT skills, especially using data analysis software
- Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence and drive change within the organization
- Experience in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies desired
- Experience with Kaizen events and training a plus
- Experience with Supply Management and Supplier Quality Assurance preferred
- Implementation experience with SPC and process capability a plus
