    Position Summary:

    The Traffic Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the physical movement, custody, and contractual obligations for the Precious Metals Team. The Traffic Team Leader will develop, negotiate, and evaluate company contracts and ensure compliance with the terms of the contract. The Team Leader will manage externally across several layers of the commodity supply chain to execute tasks with customers, logistics companies, and warehousers to ensure the timely and cost-efficient execution of physical metals trades, as well as liaise internally across departments.

    Responsibilities:

    •         Manage and oversee all logistical aspects of commodity contract administration and ensure that all traffic operations are carried out in an appropriate, efficient, and cost-effective way.
    •         Monitor and improve traffic management procedures and implement solutions which meet the highest level of efficiency and cost effectiveness.
    •         Approve payments and invoices associated with the execution of contracts.
    •         Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, producers and customers in a manner which creates operational synergies across the traffic supply chain.
    •          Perform regular analysis and monitor traffic members KPIs.
    •         Possession of key competencies, including conflict management, organization, and decision-making.
    •          Liaise with other traffic Team Leaders and departments, including trading, treasury, risk, credit, accounting and IT.
    •         Verify required documents, i.e., evaluating a new potential client.
    •          Assist KYC team in creating information needed to assess new and existing client risk.
    •          Analyze market trends and monitor customer accounts.
    •          Ensure all policies and procedures are followed.
    •          Write suspicious activity reports (SARs) and give feedback.
    •          Act as liaison to the Traffic Manager and other senior management to keep them up to date with important issues and ideas.
    •          Provide support and guidance to other members of the traffic team, including the onboarding and training of any new traffic members.
    •          Provide support to the Traffic Manager relating to weekly/monthly/quarterly and annual business reporting requirements.
    •          Continually monitor and review team staffing levels and ensure they are sufficient to meet the needs of the business and assist HR with recruiting when needed.
    •          Special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.

     

    Requirements:

    •          Bachelor’s degree required.
    •         Minimum of 5 years related experience, preferably in commodities.
    •          Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software applications, with advanced Excel and Word capabilities.
    •          Strong working knowledge of letters of credit and proficiency with documentation related to contract execution, such as shipping and banking documents.
    •         Managerial experience, to be able to manage a team, allocate work duties and delegate responsibilities to team members.
    •          Good organizational and planning skills and the ability to work as a team to meet strict deadlines in a high paced environment.
    •          Good analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
    •          Courteous and flexible customer service attitude.
    •          Excellent organizational, communication and follow up skills required.
    •          Willing to work in a fast paced time sensitive environment.
    •          Must be flexible to work additional hours as required.
    •          Experience with CTRM contract management software a plus.
    •          Ability to work in office 5 days a week.
