    Position Summary

    Pecos Valley Production is looking for an Edibles Specialist who will oversee the kitchen and maintains high standards for product development, formulation, dosing, finished product and cleanliness while managing the production team. Ideal candidate poses creativity to design new and unique recipes as well as experience as a pastry chef. Performs and supports the production and packaging operations of a cultivation and manufacturing facility. Conducts day-to-day operations within the facility including the production, depositing, forming, labeling, and packaging of edibles. Maintains excellent personal hygiene, workspace cleanliness, and quality control measures to ensure a high quality product in accordance with the New Mexico Department of Health Services. Complies with regulations and standards set by the Company policies.

    Pay rate is $40-65K depending on experience. Relocation to Roswell, NM required.

    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/TASK

    · Creativity to design new and unique recipe items infused with cannabis.

    · Knowledge of how baking ingredients work together and how they can be used in creative ways.

    • Time management skills to deliver orders on schedule and avoiding wasting food.

    · Occasional machine operation and adjustment, dependent upon product.

    · Ensure that production is performed by following standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices.

    · Measure ingredients and products accurately so that optimal levels of production are met.

    · Weigh and store finished products ensuring that all pertinent information is recorded in logs.

    · Arrange and maintain work area and equipment to assist in efficiency, safety and reduction of waste.

    · Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment.

    · Properly package products. Place appropriate product within packaging machine, box, or onto pallet.

    · Verify integrity of the package to ensure the elimination of leakers and product appearance is correct.

    · Assemble, weigh, tape, label, code date, scan, and palletize boxes where necessary.

    · Receive food items and ensure appropriate storage.

    · Make sure that all food items are stored and rotated properly using first in first out (FIFO) methods.

    · Always work in a safe manner for your own and other associate's safety.

    · Read and follow standard operating procedures and department protocols.

    · Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    · 5 years of experience in a general production facility or kitchen.

    · Any satisfactory combination of experience and training which clearly demonstrates the ability to perform production duties.

    · Excellent math skills.

    · Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

    · Ability to manage time and balance multiple tasks simultaneously.

    · Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.

    · Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.

    · At least 5 years’ experience as a chef/pastry chef/working in a kitchen.

    · Experience in the cannabis industry preferred but not required.

    · Ability to Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions

    · Possess or be able to receive a state-issued cannabis license.

    · Must be 21 Years or older.

    · Must maintain a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.

    · Must be able to clear a criminal background check within scope of job

    · Must be able to read, write, and communicate clearly and effectively.

    · Strong interpersonal, prioritization, planning and organizational skills.

    · Strong attention to detail and process driven.

    · Experience in executing multiple projects simultaneously.

    · Positive attitude

    · Able to function well as part of a team.

    Additional Requirements:

    · Must be at least 21 years of age.

    · Associates or Certification in Culinary Arts – Baking and Pastry

    · NM approved food handler’s certification.

    Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand for long period of time, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, and position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 50 lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus. The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual, with or without reasonable accommodation, to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

    Working Environment:

    Work is performed in a warehouse environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, stove, oven and a standard cooking environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
