We’re looking for a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Delivery Driver to join our team. Working as a VMI Delivery Driver, you will deliver customer orders and replenish VMI equipment in your assigned geographic territory (Cleveland Metro area). We will provide the training needed for you to effectively & efficiently troubleshoot and repair the tool & MRO industrial vending machines that are located in our customers’ manufacturing facilities. You will be our customers’ point of contact for deliveries, so a customer service focus is required.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver product daily to a territory of customers and communicates with distribution center on delivery status.
• Load/unload delivery orders and ensures signatures confirming receipt & other appropriate paperwork is completed/provided upon delivery.
• Troubleshoot tool & MRO industrial vending machines.
• Communicate with all customer personnel in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
• Maintain quality service levels and process efficiencies while providing for continuous departmental improvements.
• Effectively coordinate with VMI Manager regarding customer accounts & best practices.
• Assist with other projects & duties when the business needs require.

THE MOST QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

• Experience driving a box truck
• Distribution delivery experience

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be age 21 in order to drive a company vehicle
• Valid drivers license with clean driving record

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION:

• Plans and organizes tasks & work responsibilities to achieve goals and objectives while remaining calm & professional under pressure
• Self-directed and possesses a high level of productivity and personal organization while dealing with frequent interruptions
• Customer-centric attitude and a desire to grow with & contribute to customer-focused company
• Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and interpersonal are required
• Strong problem solving and deductive reasoning skills
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalency

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift, slide, and lower packages that can weigh up to 70lbs
• Frequent twisting, bending, standing
