Position Title: Production Trainer
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Regular Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Primary Job Duties
Coordinates the flow of work on a production line by assisting Production Associates & Contingent Employees fulfill order requests from customers; fully implements quality protocols & quality standards across all levels of operation; responsible for efficient & effective production operations that ensure the on-time delivery of quality products.
Handles all paperwork dictating production needs, arranges raw product into designated places, monitors the assembly of kits (OMKs & LPK), and checks/evaluates product quality throughout the assembly process; confirms bill of material (BOM) & needed orders for daily production; develops a thorough understanding & complies with Standard Operating Procedures; interacts with the Quality Inspector & Quality Department to assure quality & quantity issues are addressed in a timely manner; verify BOM items with raw materials delivered to line; verifies all applicable ‘scale weights’; load line cubicles in the defined order.
Monitors assembly flow, note process “bottlenecks”; oversee quality throughput production process (including, but not limited to: Scale 1, Scale 2, Bag scan, E-lid check & Container count); record any part error/overage/underage on BOM at the completion of the OMK assembly run. Turn Bill of Materials (BOMs) in at the end of each business day for verification by the Production Supervisor, Quality Specialist and Shipping Specialist. Provide appropriate documentation as directed for quality assurance programs; communicate all Production Associates & Contingent Employee issues to production supervisor, maintain timesheets for all Production Associates.
Perform other professional duties as assigned by Production Supervisor; participates in professional growth activities when required; maintains order & safe work environment with assistance from Production Supervisor; and, attend general staff meetings. Work closely with production team and support piece rate area. Perform quality checks on any quarantined materials
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Able to work with little supervision.
- Ability to use computer and calculator.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; basic PC skills.
- Able to read and comprehend word documents.
- Ability to follow verbal and written direction.
- Good communication skills.
FLSA:
- This is an hourly position and is subject to the overtime rate of 1.5 times the base hourly wage for any hours over 40 per week.
- Position may require work during non-standard hours based on customer requirements or UCO Industries requirements.
Probationary Period: 90 days
