Trainer Position Summary: Squid Lips Trainers are responsible for developing the knowledge and skills of our Restaurant Team. They prepare and ensure that our workforce Team can meet our restaurant business goals, delivering delicious quality food and services that exceed expectations and ensure consistent Squid Lips Guest satisfaction!
Responsibilities:
Work with Senior Management Team to establish overall training objectives.
Assess the training needs of individual departments.
Evaluate the competency levels of individual trainees so that they can work with employees with different knowledge and skill levels.
Design flexible programs using techniques such as classroom learning, demonstrations, one-on-one coaching or online learning.
Schedule training sessions to minimize disruption to normal working, while ensuring that employees achieve the levels of skill necessary for their jobs.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and/or corporate training certification strongly preferred.
Require good analytical and planning skills to assess training needs.
Must be competent to demonstrate the required skills.
Must have good interpersonal and observational skills so that they can assess trainees’ understanding and progress, and make any necessary adjustments to the program.
Trainers must be capable of creating a positive learning environment.
Two or more years of leadership experience from the restaurant industry.
Serve Safe Food and ServeSafe Alcohol knowledge and certifications a plus.
Ability to train, guide and lead staff.
Valid drivers’ license with reliable transportation.
