    Job Summary and Qualifications

    General Summary of Duties: Oversees the operations of rehabilitation inpatient services within a defined geographic region. Manages each facility's inpatient Program Director to meet volume, FTE and financial targets, quality and compliance standards, and assist with physician recruitment, program development and referral development activities. Works with assigned Division leadership in development of key rehabilitation initiatives and strategies. Active communication at all levels within the Rehabilitation Services Division.

    Supervisor:

    Direct: Regional Vice President of Rehabilitation Services;

    Indirect: Hospital Leadership and Division Presidents

    Supervises: In conjunction with hospital management, each facility's Program Director.

    Duties Include but are not limited to:

    • Demonstrates expertise in coordinating, directing and managing all aspects of inpatient rehabilitation services within the Region.
    • Responsible to meet volume, FTE and financial targets for each inpatient rehabilitation program in Region.
    • Responsible for establishing and maintaining high quality patient care standards and services at each facility including environment of care.
    • Executes Division/Region and Rehabilitation goals by leading initiatives, meeting deadlines, coordinating resources and providing accountability.
    • Responsible {with local hospital management) for the hiring, training and supervision of each facility's Program Director.
    • Assists with the development of the annual budget for the unit.
    • Ensures all admission and intake functions provide effective, efficient and consumer friendly services.
    • Works with hospital leadership to address all rehabilitative physician staffing and recruitment needs.
    • Ensures all compliance and regulatory requirements are met.
    • Provides regular onsite reviews of rehabilitation unit operations to ensure quality patient care and staff support and communicates status to leadership.
    • Conducts Monthly Operating Reviews (MOR) with each inpatient rehabilitation unit and communicates key issues to appropriate hospital and/or Division leadership.
    • Serves as official inpatient rehabilitation consultant to Division leadership.
    • Works with Corporate Rehabilitation team and coordinates with HCA resources to ensure efficient and effective operations for the Region's inpatient rehabilitation facilities.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Experienced in principals of inpatient rehabilitation unit administration and capable of organizing, managing, promoting, and evaluating all related services.

    Education and Experience:

    • Degree in therapy, nursing, social work, or healthcare related field required.
    • Master’s degree a preference.
    • 5 years in senior leadership position within inpatient rehabilitation setting.

    Physical Demands/Working Conditions

    • Position requires extensive travel 3-4 days per week for three weeks per month to perform site reviews, participate in business development or related activities. Work is indoors and outdoors.
