What You’ll Do

Wyffels Hybrids invites you join our family as the Accounting Supervisor, planning and directing the activities of the accounts payable and general ledger areas of the department. You will report directly to the Controller and will play a key role in ensuring the department achieves its performance goals.

Job Description Highlights

Compliance & Audit

• • Leads annual audit process
  • Ensures timely reporting of financial transactions in compliance with US GAAP

Core Accounting Responsibilities   

• • Develops and implements accounting procedures to streamline processes and enhances internal control
  • Ensures accounting records, monthly accounting close activities, and variance analysis are properly prepared, completed and maintained in a timely manner
  • Presents monthly financial statement results to the Wyffels leadership team
  • Oversees monthly account reconciliations process
  • Tracks and forecasts annual capital expenditures
  • Oversees the overall chart of accountants and financial reporting structure
  • Completes year-end financial statements in preparation for annual audit
  • Champion Enterprise Resource Planning implementation

Leadership

• • Provides performance coaching, training, and development opportunities for direct reports
  • Interviews, selects, hires, and onboards new employees
  • Plans and directs the work of direct reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 3 years in general accounting and supervisory experience 
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Understanding of economic and accounting principles and practices, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial information
• Identify complex problems and review information to evaluate options and implement solutions
• Strong technical skills and proven ability to build and maintain excel based financial models
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and achieve results
• Effective time and workload management

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

• Strong forecasting, budgeting, planning, and project management skills
• Entrepreneurial and business savvy

• Excellent computer skills including the use of analytical, word processing, presentation, and reporting software
• Strong work ethic and professionalism, ensuring the protection of intellectual property and confidentiality
• Responsible driving record
