Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Architecture typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. They offer full service architectural, construction management, planning and commercial interior design services. They are currently seeking a talented Project Architect to join their team. This is a full-time position based out of their Columbia, SC office and reporting to ownership.

    The successful applicant will be proficient in the following day to day operations:

    • Lead Project design and Project production (utilizing Revit software), from schematic design through construction documents and production of project manual/specifications.
    • Construction Administration
    • Master planning
    • Feasibility studies
    • Materials research
    • Highly efficient communication between architects, consultants, suppliers, and sub trades.
    • Client relations and management (scheduling updates, budget updates, client meetings, and project updates)

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Architecture - required
    • A minimum of 2 years experience working as a Project Manager on projects with a construction budget at or over $2,000,000.
    • Must have excellent problem-solving skills and strong technical knowledge related to commercial design and construction
    • Must have a strong working knowledge of Revit software and be efficient in production of construction documents - required
    • Knowledge of current building codes
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Valid driver’s license
