Architectural Designer

RHG A D is a boutique, award-winning, and frequently published Residential and Commercial Architecture Design Firm based in Montclair, New Jersey. Our approach to design is experiential, creating holistic and engaging spaces. Collaboration is at the core of our creative process, both within the studio and with our clients. We work with our clients to realize their intentions and how their built environment can support their lifestyle and/or the soul of their brand. Our team handles projects in-house, from decor to strategic partnerships. We also work with our community, supporting creative, wellness, and justice projects.

Position: We are seeking a mid-level Architectural Designer with experience in both Architecture and Interiors to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to translate modern design concepts into construction documents, demonstrating expertise in exterior and interior detailing, materials, finishes, and millwork. Communication with vendors and contractors is essential. The Architectural Designer will be responsible for managing multiple projects, adhering to schedules, and implementing the firm's best practices.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional experience in an architectural or interior design office.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or interior design (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of US building and safety codes.
• Knowledge of design trends, construction methodology, materials application, and appropriateness of manufacturer-supplier selections, as well as proficiency in design techniques, tools, and principals involved in producing accurate technical plans, blueprints, and drawings.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, deliver high-quality service to clients, and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing within a team environment.
• Minimum of 2 years experience with REVIT.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, experience with MS Office, and familiarity with SketchUp are a plus.
• Previous experience in Construction Administration and the ability to conduct job site visits as necessary.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: Compensation will be based on experience. Hours and schedule will be discussed.
