    CACI has an exciting and immediate opportunity for a WAN Architecture & Design Engineer to support the USAF Network Operations Security Center (NOSC). This position works at the customer on-site Tier 3 support location at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina.

    Shaw AFB is conveniently located. A 2-hour drive to the north gets you to Charlotte, NC, to the east is Myrtle Beach, and Charleston, SC is to the south. You’ll have access to big city excitement, a quiet beach walk or small town Southern hospitality.

    In this role you will:

    • Design and engineer enterprise WAN architecture.
    • Configure, monitor and trouble-shoot National IP/MPLS backbone network.
    • Use extensive LAN/WAN background with designing External Gateway Protocol (EGP) such as Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), and Interior Gateway Protocol (IGP) such as and Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP).
    • Analyze a myriad of networking metrics and recognize sub-par network performance.
    • Configure and troubleshoot Quality of Service (QOS) involving policing, shaping, and queuing from CE towards PE routers.
    • Develop reports and trend analysis documentation on bandwidth and network security incidents.
    • Act as an on-shift training representative for both contractors and government personnel to include Cisco Switches and Routers, and hardware troubleshooting disciplines.
    • Perform analysis for collaboration of network/system needs and participate in planning, designing, upgrading and deployment of enterprise datacenter hardware and software using a project-based timeline.

    You will also be required to:

    • Provide oral and written briefs, presentations, and professional reports to Government senior leaders and decision makers.
    • Provide on-call support after hours, on weekends and holidays.
    • Develop and review detailed or complex technical documents.
    • Deploy/travel to OCONUS locations in the USCENTCOM AOR to support operations, projects, and training as required (up to 25%).
    • Travel to CONUS locations as required.

    You’ll Bring These Qualifications

    • Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start date.
    • Associates in related field and 3 or more years’ experience; OR 5 or more years’ of relevant experience.
    • Relevant experience
      • Must possess experience and demonstrate an understanding of Microsoft server installation, roles, active directory, storage, performance management, and maintenance.
      • Firewall experience
    • DoD 8570 IAT II Baseline Certification (Security CE or equivalent).
    • Completion of additional Professional Certifications.
      • CCNA
      • ITIL Foundation within 60 days of your start date
