Being a Professor - Biology provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Biology typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Job Purpose/Description
- The Biology Lab Assistant will work with and assist the instructor with weekly prep for BIO 1116. Duties to include, but not limited to, the following: prepare materials for use in undergraduate biology laboratories including microbiology media, microbiology cultures/plates and chemical reagents, assist with set up and removal of class materials weekly in laboratory classrooms, maintain laboratory organization including proper sterilization and disposal of wastes, keep track of inventory (including maintaining records), recommend purchasing, and ensure lab equipment is maintained.

- Must be a CSS student
- Successful completion of BIO 1116
- Biology major
