Being a Professor - Biology provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Biology typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Family Medicine Residency Assistant ProfessorThe University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), a nationally recognized leader in health careand academic medicine is seeking a dynamic, board-certified family physician as Assistant Professorin our Family Medicine Residency Program in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Responsibilities include providing patient care in our family medical center, providing inpatient careand call duties (Call Ratio 1:6-8). Responsibilities also include teaching residents and medical students in providingpatient care, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and serving as leader and role model forresidents.

OB experience is preferred, but not required.The UAMS family medicine residency clinics participate in federal, state, and private payer qualityimprovement programs i.e. CMS Comprehensive Primary Care Plus, Arkansas Medicaid PCMH,and more.
