    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    In this challenging role, you will be supporting the BIO-Biological Sciences department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.

    • Teach lectures in General Biology and possibly Microbiology, Anatomy and Physiology
    • Prepare lectures/syllabi/tests
    • Grade/assess student work
    • Develop/implement new classroom strategies
    • Consult with students
    • Advise on academic progress
    • Maintain competence through continuous professional development
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    • We are currently recruiting instructors to teach face-to-face classes and who, depending on experience, may be eligible for limited online teaching.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    A minimum of a master's degree in Biology or related field with at least 18 graduate hours in Biology or related coursework is required.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Master’s degree in Biological Science, or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Biological Sciences or related field. Hands-on lab experience should be well-documented through applicants coursework as this experience is essential for teaching mixed-majors BIO courses. Two-year or four-year college teaching experience at the college level is preferred. This instructor must be able to adapt teaching techniques to student needs and various instructional settings and be capable of maintaining an atmosphere that fosters learning. The instructor must be able to work independently, motivate students, and participate as a contributing member of the Biology Department. Excellent human relations and high instructional standards are prerequisite to coordinating role.
