Job Summary:
The Department of Natural Sciences at Greensboro College invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Biology. We are seeking an outstanding candidate with a background in microbiology, but applications are invited across a range of specializations. Primary teaching responsibilities will include general biology I & II, microbiology, cell biology, and additional courses in their area of expertise. The successful applicant will develop and teach courses that will contribute to the biomedical and integrative concentrations of the biology major but could include courses in the wildlife and conservation concentration as well. Such courses may include invertebrate zoology, infectious disease, neurobiology, immunology, and evolution. We especially welcome candidates interested in collaborating with students on projects inside and outside the classroom, including supervising internships and research.
Skills and Qualifications:
PhD in biology or related discipline; ABD will be considered.
