    Job Description

    Position Overview 

    Torch Technologies invites applications for a Business Administration Internship for Summer 2024. We seek a motivated and organized student interested in gaining practical experience in operational, procurement, supply chain management, and contracting tasks within a leading technology company. This position provides an opportunity to apply academic learning to real-world situations, gain insight into the business operations of a technology firm, and contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our business processes. 

    Learning Opportunities 

    • Gain practical experience in operational and administrative tasks. 

    • Work alongside experienced professionals in procurement and supply chain management. 

    • Develop skills in business process analysis and improvement. 

    • Understand the intricacies of contracting and procurement in the technology sector.

    Duration and Location 

    • This is a summer internship, lasting 12 weeks.

    Key Responsibilities 

    Within your internship, you may… 

    • Assist in various operational and administrative tasks to support daily business functions. 

    • Participate in procurement processes, including vendor communication and contract management. 

    • Contribute to supply chain management projects, including logistics and inventory analysis. 

    • Support the team in the preparation and review of business contracts and agreements. 

    • Collaborate with different departments to understand and improve business processes. 

    • Document and present findings and recommendations in team meetings. 

    Job Requirements

    Qualifications 

    Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field. 

    • A keen interest in business processes, especially in procurement and supply chain management. 

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 

    • Effective communication and teamwork skills. 

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with business software tools. 

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 

    Requirements 

    • US Citizen. 

    • At least 18 years old. 

    • Actively enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited educational institution. 

    • In good academic standing with a grade point average of 3.0. 

    • Commitment to a full-time schedule during the internship period.
