    Position Summary
    The Culverhouse College of Business at The University of Alabama (UA) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position in Business Cyber Security. This open position builds on existing strength among the Culverhouse faculty in cybersecurity research and supports The University of Alabama Cyber Institute (UACI). Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. in their business discipline, a successful track record of academic publication, and a strong potential to conduct high quality research, seek research grants, and demonstrate teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

    Detailed Position Information
    This open position builds on an existing strength among the Culverhouse faculty in Business Cyber Security research and supports The University of Alabama Cyber Institute (UACI). The mission of the UACI is to advance the understanding of the dynamics associated with cybersecurity issues and to develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity research and education program at The University of Alabama. Driven by this interdisciplinary perspective and recognizing that cybersecurity issues arise in every business discipline, candidates with research foci across the broad domain of cybersecurity in business are encouraged to apply. Candidates with interdisciplinary backgrounds connecting cybersecurity to other domains are strongly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will become part of the appropriate department commensurate with their degree.

    At the rank of Assistant Professor, candidates must have a track record of high-quality cybersecurity academic publications and strong potential to obtain research grants. We welcome applicants from all cultural and social backgrounds and geographical regions across the globe.

    The position start date is August 16, 2024. The position will remain open until filled.

    Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and achievements. Before hiring, the candidate must successfully pass a pre-employment background verification.
