LFR Grain & Chemical is a thriving, fast-paced grain elevator, chemical and seed retailer and farm located in rural Newton, NC. We are busy year round, rain or shine.
We are looking for an individual to operate our grain elevator, make deliveries and assist in greenhouses as needed. Duties include but are not limited to: loading and unloading grain trucks, operating grain elevator, weighing trucks in and out, grading grain, maintenance of grounds and equipment, operating forklift, driving and backing equipment, trucks and trailers. Greenhouse duties include but are not limited to: transplanting, filling pots, watering, weeding, and loading delivery trucks. The position generally works 40-45 hours/week (including an alternating Saturday schedule). 9 hour shift may be variable depending on needs but will generally fall between 7am - 7pm. The ideal candidate should be motivated and dependable with attention to detail. Basic computer skills are desired. Must have a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. Must be able to pass drug test. Grain elevator experience not necessary.
Health insurance, paid vacation and paid holidays after 60 days. Starting pay is $15.00-16.00/hour based on relevant experience. Overtime pay after 40 hours.
